Our mission is to change lives one soul at a time. This includes meeting folks where they are at, showing them Christ like love, reminding them that there is hope, and letting them know that God loves them. The bonds we build and the love that we have for our friends is so special. We aim to bless them, but we are usually blessed by them as well.

We met Corrina when she attended our 2023 Thanksgiving Outreach. Kenny spotted her as a new friend in the crowd and struck up a conversation.
We came to find that her life, by many measures, was not an easy one. There were storms she weathered that many of us can only imagine. She struggled with addiction which resulted in fractured relationships with her children. Her husband passed away from an overdose. Another devastating blow came when she had been told by doctors that she had terminal cancer and only about a year to live. She was desperate to get out of the lifestyle she was living, so she moved.
Upon arriving in Fort Worth, she had nowhere to go and no one to turn to. She had to wait for her housing voucher to be transferred, so in the meantime she found herself on E. Lancaster. We met her there and began to show her that despite everything, she was special. Truly loved by God, and by us.
With the help of other organizations, she was able to get housed, furnished, and stable. From there, we continued to be a supportive community for her. Helping transport her to appointments, bringing her into our church family where more people could love on her, visiting with her, and helping in whatever way we could. We have some wonderful memories with her and we hope that she knew that she made a lasting impact on our hearts.
Let us not only remember the hardships she faced, but more importantly, let us celebrate the beautiful and special soul that was Corrina. May her memory serve as a reminder to love those who are lost/hurt/broken, and let them know that their circumstances don’t determine their value. Rest in peace, dear Corrina. You are deeply missed.
